RETURNING TO RHYTHM

Returning to Rhythm is a series of four acrylic paintings exploring the menstrual cycle and the relationship between the body’s natural rhythms and societal expectations. The work reflects on the pressure to adapt to a constant pace, often at the expense of the body’s own needs. Rather than working against these natural fluctuations, the series explores what it means to listen to, accept, and integrate them into everyday life. The paintings reflect on rest, energy, change, and the possibility of reconnecting with a rhythm that is already present within the body.
