EMBRACING UNCERTAINTY
Embracing Uncertainty is a series of six small gouache paintings created in response to the theme Unscripted. The series explores uncertainty, vulnerability, and the process of letting go of control. Shaped by experiences of separation and living with endometriosis, the works reflect on unpredictability, healing, and shifting expectations. Loose brushstrokes and flowing washes allow chance and movement to become part of the painting process, creating space for imperfection and the beauty of uncertainty.
EMBRACING WHAT IS
Embracing What Is is a series of seven paintings created with acrylic and oil sticks on canvas. Inspired by a sketchbook exploring the experience of endometriosis pain, the series reflects on acceptance, healing, and an evolving relationship with the body and health. Through figurative and symbolic imagery, the works explore a shift from resisting the body’s experiences toward listening to and embracing them, inviting a more compassionate understanding of chronic illness and the body’s capacity for change.
